ALTON, N.H. — Authorities in New Hampshire say a man who was found with gunshot wounds inside a home has died.
The New Hampshire Department of Justice said Saturday that 48-year-old James Eckhert was pronounced dead late Friday night after he was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Officials say James Eckhert and 50-year-old Lizette Eckert were found Friday morning inside a home in Alton with gunshot wounds. Lizette Eckert was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy revealed she died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the head.
Authorities said they arrested and charged a boy after the bodies were discovered at the home. They have not said if the boy would face additional charges.
Officials did not provide the relationship between the boy and the two adults.
