SANFORD — The public is invited to hear Sally Stockwell, director of conservation for the Maine Audubon Society, present the predicted impacts of climate change on wildlife in the Sanford region.
The presentation, the first in a series, is sponsored by the Sanford Springvale Mousam Way Land Trust as part of its mission to inform the public about environmental issues.
It will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20 in the North Parish Congregation Church basement.
Organizers say parking is limited around the church so attendees are asked to park across Main Street in the Mid-Town Mall parking lot.
The event is free, and refreshments will be served.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
