OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Former Old Orchard Beach basketball players, both women and men, are needed for the alumni basketball game Friday, March 15.
The 20th annual Alumni Basketball Classic will be held at Old Orchard Beach High School in the John Regan Gymnasium at 6 p.m.
Alumni participants will play against current high school players, and all proceeds are divided between the alumni scholarship fund and funding for the high school basketball program.
The game is a great way for alumni to reconnect with former classmates.
“It’s fun to get to see a lot of people you haven’t seen in a while,” Old Orchard Beach Alumni Association member Sandy Lord said.
Tickets for spectators are $3 for students and seniors over 60, and $5 for adults. Alumni players are asked to pay to play to support the benefitting programs.
There is a door prize, a 50/50 raffle, and a foul shooting contest for a male and female student representing their class.
Participants also will receive a T-shirt donated by Brady’s Screenprint and Embroidery and sponsored by Blow Bros. Overall, the benefit game is a fun way to support the current basketball program and see classmates from past years.
