Marina Long of Waterboro, a student at Sanford Christian Academy, was named the state winner of the American Legion of Maine Oratorical Contest, held earlier this month at Thomas College in Waterville. Long will go on to the national competition in Indianapolis, Indiana in April. Contestants speak on the U.S. Constitution. This is the second state win for Long in the past three years.
