Litchfield:
Michael Richard Rose 63, of Litchfield passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 18, 2019 at the Togus Veteran’s Hospital in Augusta. 

He was born on November 3,1955 in Brunswick. He was the son of Dorothy Marie and Richard Gordon Rose. Michael attended Brunswick and Freeport Schools. In 1976 after High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force. 

Years later, after the Air Force Michael was employed at Arrowhart Industries, in which he met Kathy Ellen Fogg. Kathy and Michael were married on November 6, 2004 in Freeport. Michael went on to work as a Sternman on a Lobster boat in Harpswell for 26 years.  

Kathy and Michael moved to Litchfield in 2008. Michael went to work for Goodwill Industries, where he was employed until his retirement. 

Michael enjoyed his flower and vegetable gardens on his land. He also was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting with his sons, Jessie and Chris and Grandson Owen. Michael had farm animals in which he loved spending time with and he rescued many dogs from the Humane Society. 

Michael is survived by his wife Kathy Rose of Litchfield, his sons Jessie Rose and his wife Louise of Litchfield, Christopher Rose of Bowdoin, 3 Stepchildren, Jason Mills and his wife Tiffany of North Yarmouth, Melissa Mills and her partner Jim Bly Jr. of Freeport, Shawn Mills and his partner Monica Miller of Bath. 2 sisters, Carol Toothaker and her partner Kerry Harris of Brunswick, Lorraine and Steve Quinn of Berlin, Massachusetts, Jeannine Rose and her partner Anna Long of Bridgeton. 13 Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Michael is predeceased by his Mother and Father, Dorothy and Richard Rose.
