Christmas tree disposal
Gorham residents can dispose of natural Christmas trees at Gorham Public Works, 80 Huston Road. Trees can be dropped off near the silver bullet recycling units. Additionally, local farms may be accepting the trees for goats’ snacks.
This is for live trees only; artificial trees are not recyclable and must be disposed of as trash. Curbside pickup of Christmas trees is not available.
Create valentine crafts for adults
Registration is required for Hearts & Crafts – Adult Craft Night at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Baxter Memorial Library, 71 South St.
“Make woven heart baskets and fun paper valentines for your loved ones,” the library posted on its website.
Supplies will be provided, including pre-cut hearts, glitter and glue. Registration is required as space is limited. For more information, visit the circulation desk or call 222-1190.
Seniors reminder
The Lakes Region Senior Citizens will learn about self defense and be served a luncheon at a meeting at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, at the community center, 40 Acorn St., in Little Falls.
Those attending the luncheon are asked to bring a dish to share or pay $5. For more information, call 839-3859.

The Bureau of the Fiscal Service reported on Jan. 3 that the U.S. public debt was $21,929,258,046,653.58.
