Bath- Deborah L. Shaunesey, 60, of Dummer Street died Saturday, January 5, 2019 at her residence.

She was born in Bath on August 16, 1958, a daughter of Dorothy L. Coombs.

She graduated from Morse High School in 1976 and on June 17, 1977 she married Ronald L. Shaunesey. She was employed at Ames Department Store in Brunswick, Zayre Department Store in Brunswick and then Reny’s in Bath until she became the cook at Huse, Dike-Newell and Fisher-Mitchell Schools where she remained until present.

She was a member of the Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church and during summers she taught at More to Life Campground in Winthrop. She was also active in the prison ministry in Warren.

She enjoyed boating, barbeques, planning children’s activities and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Shaunesey of Bath, one son, Richard G. Shaunesey of Bath, two nephews, Robert Phillips (Janene) of North Carolina and Shawn Shaunesey (Karen) of Rhode Island, two nieces, Rebecca Beane-Atkins of Maryland and Elizabeth Shaunesey of Woolwich, three great nieces and one great nephew.

She was predeceased her mother, Dorothy L. Coombs in 2017, her sister Emma E. Beane in 2010 and her nephew Kenneth P. Beane in 1998.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church, 15 Fellowship Drive, Woolwich. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath in the spring.
