Freeport – Loretta Ruth Curtis age 84 died from a long illness on Sunday, December 16th at Bella Point.
She was born in Portsmouth, NH on August 19, 1934 the daughter of Ruth R. Hayes.
Loretta worked at Yale-Cordage Inc. in Saco and then worked for Health-Tex in Gardiner and Brunswick.
She is survived by her first husband Raymond Stuart, Sr. whom she married on July 4, 1954. She Married Merton R. Curtis on December 31, 1981 and they have resided in Freeport.
Besides her husband she is also survived by her four sons Raymond Stuart, Jr. and his companion Rita Buxton, of Randolph, Wayne Stuart of Rumford, Dean Stuart of Pittston, Bradley Stuart and his spouse Sheri French of Dresden, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. Five step children Joe Curtis, Hollis Curtis, Tammy Schmoller, Kenny Curtis, Rebecca Daniel and 10 step grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Growstown Cemetery, Church Road, Brunswick.
Memorial donations may be made to the Coastal Humane Society, 190 Pleasant St., Brunswick, ME 04011. Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St. Brunswick where memorial condolences may be expressed at stetsonsfuneralhome.com
