Editor,
I am honored and humbled to have been chosen by the people of District 10 – Arundel, Dayton, and Lyman – as your State Representative. Thanks to each of you for your vote and your confidence in me. I pledge to do my best to listen to you, work hard, and serve you all to the best of my ability.
The best part of my campaign over the last 10 months is that I have had the opportunity to personally listen to many of you, which has begun to give me a sense of the work I need to do for you in Augusta.
I also want to thank all of the people who worked so hard to get me elected: family, friends, and the many, many volunteers without whom I could not have won this race. It takes a village to get elected.
Finally, thanks to my opponent, Jim Booth. I wish you the best.
Henry Ingwersen
Representative-elect
Arundel

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
