LIMERICK – This community is hosting a full slate of events to get residents and neighbors in the mod for the holiday season.
There are events each day starting on Saturday and winding down on Sunday, Dec. 2.
Perhaps the busiest day is Saturday, Dec. 1, which begins with Breakfast with Frosty at the Peppermill Restaurant, and includes an array of events including a Christmas Parade at 1 p.m., hayrides and a lot more.
What began in 2005 as a celebration hosted by the Limerick Newfield Lions Club grew over time to include events hosted by others as well, said organizer Deedee Tibbetts.
“Over the years many groups and businesses have added to the event,(and) things slightly change from year to year ,” said Tibbetts. “This is the first year that the festival is a week long event with different events and activities for all ages, sponsored by many groups, organizations, and businesses throughout the entire town of Limerick.
