BRUNSWICK — The Region 10 Technical High School annual open house promises to be “like no open house you’ve ever attended,” according to director Nancy Weed.
The Nov. 8 event will feature demonstrations and hands-on activities like coat hook welding, flower box making, 3D printing, and more. Visitors can compete in a tire changing competition and meet the school’s artificial patient, Deloris Perkins.
Administrators, teachers and representatives from local colleges will also be present to talk about the school and the opportunities it gives to the 240 students who attend for half- and full-day programs.
There will be food, raffles and giveaways as well.
The open house is 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Region 10, 68 Church St., Brunswick.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
