I write in support of state Rep. Ralph Tucker, D-Brunswick, in House District 50. This gentleman is exactly that, a gentleman. He adds civility, common sense and openness to political discourse.

As a resident of Brunswick, I have known and admired Ralph for several years. His professional life has been spent primarily in helping injured workers achieve fair compensation. Later in his career he was a District Court judge dealing with family law and domestic difficulties among many issues.

As a legislator for two consecutive terms, Ralph focused on environmental concerns. He was instrumental in improving laws affecting mineral mining, reducing damage to our streams and waterways.

There are many reasons to vote for Ralph. Consider the need to expand access to health care, improve public schools funding, reduce the tax burden on low- and fixed-income homeowners through the Circuit Breaker program.

For these reasons, Ralph has my vote.
