WELLS — Wells senior Hannah Cottis lit up the scoreboard on Monday as she scored seven times in the Warriors’ 9-2 victory over Old Orchard Beach.
Cottis scored four goals in the first half and three in the second half.
Emma Badger and Grace Boucher also scored for the Warriors.
The Warriors’ goals were assisted by Sophia Zurlo, Kenzie Foss, Franny Ramsdell, Emma Badger and goalie Lauren Bartlett.
Bartlett had four saves in the win.
Wells will travel to Greely on Thursday for their next game.
Field Hockey 
Massabesic 4, Portland 1 
The Massabesic field hockey team doubled their first half score to win 4-1 against Portland on Monday night.
The Mustangs opened the scoring with 4:40 left in the first half. Brianna Stephensen assisted Micaela Jacobs in creating a 1-0 score.
At the 1:36 mark, the Mustangs scored again as Emma Snyder scored unassisted.
With 22:13 left in the contest, Snyder scored her second goal of the night with the help of Jacobs.
At the 9:07 mark, Izzy Hurlburt scored the Mustangs final goal of the night with the help of Grace LaFrance.
With 4:36 left in regulation, the Bulldogs got on the scoreboard. Phoebe Howland powered in a rebound to create the final 4-1 score.
Portland goalie Jada McIlwain made 25 saves. Massabesic goalie Maddy Pomerleau made 15 saves in the win.
Thornton Academy 2, South Portland 0 
A strong second half led the Thornton Academy field hockey team to a 2-0 shutout win over Portland on Monday night.
During the first half, both teams battled but neither could find the back of the net.
The Trojans (8-4) opened the scoring with 29:21 left in regulation. Victoria Labbe assisted Aliyah Bureau with the first goal of the night.
At the 18:00 mark, Bureau scored again with the help of Cat Henaire to produce the final 2-0 score.
The Trojans received seven penalty corners, the Red Riots were awarded one.
South Portland goalies Abbie Jellison and Madelynn Drolet made five saves. Thornton goalie Madison Vachon made two saves in the win.
Thornton will host Gorham on Wednesday.
Westbrook 3, Kennebunk 2 (OT)
The Kennebunk field hockey team fell during overtime to Westbrook on Monday night.
Avery Tucker’s second goal in overtime created the final 3-2 score.
Kaitlyn Talbot also scored for Westbrook.
Sam McGrath and Taylor Creech scored for the Rams.
Kennebunk goalie Haley Moody stopped 10 balls from going into the cage. Westbrook goalie Kimmie Goddard had eight saves in the win.
Boys Soccer 
Gorham 5, Kennebunk 0 
The Kennebunk boys soccer team fell to Gorham during the second half of a matchup on Monday night.
At the end of the first half, Gorham had a 1-0 lead. Ryan Farr scored off an assist from Andrew Rent.
During the second half, Gorham would extend their lead. Rent, Kevin Mollison, Sebastien Irish and Javin Stickney scored.
Kennebunk goalie Joshua Erickson-Harris stopped five shots. Gorham goalies Trevor Gray and Garrett Smith made five saves in the win.
