We at the Coastal Journal want to help you make your event a success. While we try to get as many announcements in the paper as possible, we may not be able to get all of them in on any given week. We have found that events that the public can attend, such as gallery openings, concerts, museum exhibits, wine tastings, kayak trips, auctions, council meetings, walks through gardens, fund raisers to support our community, live theater and more are what our readers want to read about most and are given priority. Those that we receive by the deadline are also prioritized.

Over coverage area includes Sagadahoc and Lincoln counties and everywhere between Freeport and Damariscotta. We are unable to publish releases for events out of our coverage area or that are not about an upcoming event.

If your announcement is more than the very basic information just outlined, please email to press@coastaljournal.com. This will allow us to prioritize your release and get it into the correct edition.

Press releases can be embedded in the body of an email or attached as a PDF or Word document.

Photos are published based on a number of considerations including space availability and quality of the image. Please send photos as JPEGs, and the photos should be high-resolution and at least 200 DPI. Releases with accompanying photos will often get highlighted in the print edition and at timesrecord.com/coastal-journal.

To submit your event to our weekly print calendar, visit timesrecord.com/calendar. Please include the name of the event, the date, time, place and any cost involved. You may also include contact information.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me at jpafundi@coastaljournal.com

Thank you,
