Editor,
I was wondering when Biddeford workers will be taking down the large number of American flags put up before Memorial Day along Alfred Street?
Some of the flags are getting rather battered and worn out by the weather and both of my grandchildren have pointed them out to me numerous times as we are driving through the city.
I am not unpatriotic and enjoy seeing our flag while driving on Alfred Street, but I’m worried about the condition that some of those flags are in and am concerned that tattered and torn flags should not be flying as a symbol of our nation.
