LISBON – The Lisbon High School boys soccer team jumped out to a 6-0 halftime lead and never looked back in a 9-0 Mountain Valley Conference win over Carrabec on Tuesday.

After dropping their first three games, the Greyhounds have reeled off three straight wins for a 3-3 record. The Cobras fell to 0-6.

Jack Tibbetts had three goals in the win, while DJ Douglass and Cam Poisson chipped in two goals and one helper apiece. Justin Violette and Hunter Brissette added a goal each.

In goal, Sean Moore turned away four shots for the shutout. Carrabec keeper Bradley Clark had six saves.

Lisbon hosts Hall-Dale on Thursday at 4 p.m.

The Bucks and Bobcats settled for a scoreless tie in East-West Conference play at Richmond.

Kyle Underhill-Tilton made 10 saves to help the Bobcats (4-1-1), who host Pine Tree Academy on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Rick Krashe stopped 12 shots for Buckfield (3-2-1).

Girls soccer

RICHMOND — Caitlin Kendrick scored twice as Richmond captured a 3-0 E-WC win over rival Buckfield.

The Bobcats are 5-1 and visit North Yarmouth Academy on Monday at 4 p.m. The Bucks fell to 2-3-1.

Abby Johnson staked Richmond to a 1-0 lead 9:56 into the game. Kendrick finished off a pass from Bry Shea for a 2-0 halftime lead.

Kendrick capped the scoring with 2:53 remaining in regulation, with Marie Wockenfuss assisting.

Liz Johnson had three saves in the Richmond cage, while Buckfield’s Julia Dow turned aside nine shots.

Brunswick 2
Morse 0

Marley Groat and Anna Kousky delivered a goal each to power the Dragons to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over the Shipbuilders at McMann Field.

Isabella Banks and Emma Banks chipped in an assist each for Brunswick, which improved to 5-0-1 and hosts Hampden Academy on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

Morse (2-3-2) received 10 saves from netminder Abby Sreden, while Brunswick’s Beth Labbe had six stops.

The Shipbuilders host Medomak Valley on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Bowdoin

BANGOR — The Bowdoin field hockey team picked up its fifth win of the season in a 5-1 non-conference midweek matchup at Husson.

The Polar Bears (5-0) saw Emma Stevens score in her fourth consecutive game to defeat the host Eagles (0-5).

Bowdoin took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Elizabeth Growney put the Polar Bears on the board 16 minutes into the game off a feed from Kara Finnerty. Stevens finished off an assist from Growney with 5:03 left in the half to notch her first of the game.

Growney and Stevens switched roles for a quick goal two minutes into the second. Stevens added an unassisted tally seven minutes later.

Husson broke through 10 minutes into the second half to make the score 4-1. Stevens completed her second hat trick of the season in the 50th minute.

Bowdoin held a 32-4 edge in shots and 13-3 corner advantage. Maddie Ferrucci and Eva Verzani each made a save for Bowdoin. Andrea Shaggy made 14 saves for the Eagles.

The Polar Bears return to NESCAC action on Saturday at Middlebury with a noon start.

Field hockey

FREEPORT — Kerry Lefebvre broke a 3-3 deadlock with seven minutes remaining to lift Freeport to a 4-3 Western Maine Conference over previously unbeaten and defending State Class C champion St. Dom’s.

Lefebvre put home a loose ball during a scrum in front of the Saints’ cage for the game-winner as the Falcons improved to 6-1 and visits York on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Natalie Anderson put the Falcons on top with the game’s first goal off an assist from Alexa Koenig three minutes into the contest.

St. Dom’s Caroline Johnson tied the game 45 seconds later, but Koenig answered off a penalty corner from Lefebvre for a 2-1 lead. The Saints tied it later in the first half.

Freeport’s Ally Randall and Johnson scored in the second half for a 3-3 tie before Lefebvre’s heroics.

Freeport keeper Katelyn Rouleau made three saves.

Mt. Ararat 0
Messalonskee 3

Autumn Littlefield had two goals and an assist to spark Messalonskee to the KVAC win.

Kaitlyn Smith added a goal and an assist for Messalonskee (5-2), while Rylie Genest made four saves.

Lily Schenk stopped five shots for Mt. Ararat, which fell to 5-2 and visits Bangor on Thursday at 5 p.m.
