SACO — Thornton Academy field hockey scored in overtime to win 3-2 against Windham on Monday night.
Windham opened the scoring with 10:21 left in the first half as Ellie Miller scored assisted by Hannah Downing.
The Trojans (5-2) tied the game up in the second half. At the 19:09 mark, Aliyah Bureau scored off a rebound.
The ball went back to the Eagles, who came up with another goal. With 12:34 left in regulation, Hannah Downing scored off Danielle Libby’s penalty corner.
With less then five minutes left in the contest the Trojans would tie the game. At the 4:03 mark, Grace Harbour made a goal off a penalty corner and produced a score of 2-2.
Harbour’s goal sent the game to overtime.
During overtime, Cat Henaire scored the game winner for the Trojans. Henaire shot from close range, collected her rebound, paused and then put it between the keeper’s legs. There was 3:22 left in the OT period.
Windham goalie Molly McAllister had 12 saves for Windham.
Cheverus will host Thornton on Wednesday evening.
Noble 3, Portland 1 
Kassidy Lessard scored twice during the Knight’s 3-1 defeat of the Bulldogs on Monday night.
Lessard made her first goal less then five minutes into the first half.
Eight minutes later, Nettie Walsh handed Emma Harrigan the ball to tie the game.
The lead would not last for long. With less than a minute remaining, Ella Nason scored for the Knights.
Lessard scored again at the 24:08 mark in the second half to create a score of 3-1.
Portland goalie Jada Mcllwain made 13 saves for Portland. Noble goalie Kaylee Magotte made 10 saves in the win.
Boys Soccer 
York 4, Wells 0 
Wells boys soccer suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Wildcats on Monday night.
York scored all their goals in the first half.
Quenton Convery scored the first goal, Lucas Labelle scored the next two goals and Alex Neilson scored the last goal.
The two teams battled it out in the second half but neither squad could find the back of the net.
Wells hosts Freeport on Wednesday night.
