ALFRED — It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Ann (Landry) Boucher announces her sudden passing on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 at the age of 74.

Carol will be lovingly remembered by Norman Boucher, her husband of 56 years, and her four daughters, Lynne Boston and husband Rick, Brenda LaFrance and husband Jim, Shirley Dickson and Belinda Jones. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Bethany, Anthony, Matt, Brianna, Mikala, Noah, Garrett, Sophia, Joanna, Jacob, Grace, and Memphis, and her great-grandchildren, Kennedie, Julia, and Penelope to be born in December, as well as many friends whose lives she touched.

She is predeceased by her brother, James Landry. She is survived by sisters, Carol Butt, Joan Bryant, and Marie Roast and brother, Rudy Perry.

Carol will be remembered for how she loved her grandchildren, for her deep sense of family, and for her generosity. Many people from town will remember her as the proud owner of Papa’s Place which served the best sandwiches in town.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at LaFrance Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford with a celebration of Carol’s life to follow on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church 66, North Ave., Sanford in Sanford, Maine.

Carol was known for taking in numerous stray cats and dogs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kennebunk Animal Welfare Society at P.O. Box 43, West Kennebunk, Maine 04094.

Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
