BOSTON, Mass. — Senior keeper Lauren Williams, of Bowdoinham, registered her first career shutout to help lead the Simmons University women’s soccer team to a 4-0 victory over visiting Rivier University on Wednesday in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action at Daly Field.
Seniors Mikayla Elliott and Mallory Cottam each tallied three points, including a goal each as the Sharks improved to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in league play, while the Raiders fell to 1-2 and 0-2.
Simmons dominated play and held a 9-3 margin on corner kicks.
Simmons returns to action tonight when it hosts Lesley University for a 7 p.m. contest.
