BRUNSWICK — Brunswick’s Brianna Campbell responded quick off the whistle and the Dragons cruised from there, downing the Lewiston Blue Devils, 5- 2, in jayvee high school field hockey action on Monday.
The Blue Devils answered back with a goal before Kelsey Sullivan scored on a breakaway, beating the goalie one-on-one. Sullivan scored again from a pass from Mallory Palmer, ending the first half with the Dragons leading 3-1.
Anna Barnes was on fire in the second half, scoring two goals on passes from Sara Coughlin and Sullivan.
Mallory Palmer and Caroline White both had strong defensive games in the midfield, while Liberty Kraus had a strong game in goal.
Brunswick (2-0-1) travels to Mt. Ararat on Thursday.
