Alexa Koenig picked up a hat trick to power the Freeport High School field hockey team to a 5-0 Western Maine Conference win over Cape Elizabeth on Monday.
The Falcons improved to 3-1 and visit Gray-New Gloucester on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Ally Randall added a goal in the first half in the win, while Autumn Golding chipped in a second-half tally.

The visiting Eagles remained undefeated in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference play with a win over Oxford Hills at South Paris.
Hannah Huston scored the lone goal for Mt. Ararat, which moved to 4-0 and hosts “Battle of the Bridge” rival Brunswick at Mt. Ararat Middle School on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Holly Temple and Wyley Fitzpatrick assisted on Huston’s goal, while Lily Schenk (five saves) and Emma Lapreziosa (one save) split time in the cage.
LEWISTON 1
BRUNSWICK 5
Brunswick scored twice in the first half and three more times in the second to put away Lewiston in KVAC action.
The Dragons evened their record at 2-2.
Sara Scrapchansky and Shea Sullivan both paced the Dragons with two goals apiece, with Lauren Jacobs tacking on a fifth. Erin Coughlin dished out a pair of assists.
LISBON 3

Sydney Plourde scored less than five minutes into the Mountain Valley Conference contest as the Greyhounds picked up their first win.
Lisbon is 1-3 and hosts Boothbay on Wednesday at 4 p.m., while Telstar fell to 0-5.
Sadie Hardt and Jessica Schlotterbeck added a goal each, while the Lisbon defense held the Rebels without a shot on goal.
Girls volleyball
AUGUSTA — Brunswick/Mt. Ararat picked up its first win of the campaign, downing Cony in four sets, 25-15, 25-13, 23-25, 25-17.
The Dragons are 1-3 heading into Wednesday’s road clash with Wells (6 p.m.).
Brunswick was led by Lauren Whitlock with 15 service aces, two kills and 24 assists. Kathleen Trapp had six service aces, 14 kills and five digs.
Boys soccer
FARMINGDALE — Ian Stebbins and Matt Albert had a goal and an assist to lead Hall-Dale to a 3-0 MVC win over Lisbon.
Sean Moore stopped 28 shots for Lisbon (0-3), which visits Winthrop on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The host Ramblers exploded for four goals over the final 18 minutes of the first half en route to an MVC win over Wiscasset/Boothbay, which fell to 0-3 and hosts Dirigo on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
In the second half, the Wolverines fought back with a goal each coming from Tim Chappelle and Rowan Kristan.
Girls soccer
JAY — Jaycee Cole scored two goals to start the game and Spruce Mountain was able to pull away from Hyde for a 5-2 win in MVC action.
Maggie Lyles scored the opening goal for Hyde (1-3), which was followed by a Lily Huettel goal three minutes later.
