SKOWHEGAN — The Brunswick High School jayvee field hockey team came out with intensity against Skowhegan on Thursday, resulting in a 1-1 tie with the Indians.
The Dragons dominated the first half offensively with six corner kicks and 10 shots on goal. Anna Barnes scored on a pass from Kelsey Sullivan with 3:38 left in the half.
Brunswick started to lose steam late and allowed a Skowhegan goal with 2:10 on the clock to tie the game, where the score remained.
Caroline White and Delia Braillard played a strong defensive game for the Dragons, while Liberty Krauss made some strong stops in goal.
Brunswick (1-0-1) hosts Lewiston today.
