ALFRED — A juvenile was seriously injured during an ATV accident in Alfred on Sunday morning.
According to Capt. Jarrett Clarke of Alfred Fire and EMS, crews responded to a report of an ATV accident on Fort Rdge Road about 10:47 a.m. Sunday.
Clarke said crews arriving at the scene found a juvenile suffering from serious injuries as a result of the accident.
“One juvenile was transported by Alfred’s Ambulance to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries,” Clarke said.
The cause of the crash is accidental in nature and is currently being investigated by the Maine Wardens Service.
“A Special thank you to the Waterboro Fire Department for use of their UTV for transport of the patient from the woods to the ambulance,” Clarke said.
FURTHER Details about the accident and the name of the injured juvenile has not been released by the MaineWardens Service.
