The BHA has an opening for a Maintenance Mechanic. This is a responsible position, which shall report directly to the Supervisor of Maintenance. The position entails routine maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, cleaning, electrical and mechanical as it relates to the repair of residential apartments and office space. Successful candidate must work well in a team environment, have good communication skills, be able to handle stressful situations and carry out the responsibilities of the job in a professional manner. This position will require being on call after hours one week per month. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $16.00 to $17.30 based on experience and an excellent fringe benefit package. Minimum requirements: High School diploma with 5 years experience in building trades.
