KENNEBUNK — Doggy days have never been this fun as the Animal Welfare Society is planning for its annual fundraising event, Strut Your Mutt, which brings together dogs and do-gooders alike.

On Sunday, Sept. 9, beginning at 9 a.m., the society teams up with Kennebunk Savings Bank to fund medical procedures for the clinic’s wounded animals.

Registration will be $15, allowing visitors to participate in a variety of beachside games, face-painting, sack toss, and the main event: a group two-mile walk along Kennebunk Beach.

The Wellness Zone serves as the epicenter of pooch products, from customizable tags to animal first-aid kits. Smile for the camera in the ever-popular photo booth (dogs welcome!). Bop to the live music of The Serfs throughout the morning. Chill with Blake & Eva of the Coast 93.1 Morning Show who will be broadcasting live all morning and entertaining the crowd with their humor and celebrity, among a few canine celebrities.

Consider registering or making a donation to Strut Your Mutt to ensure all pets in our community receive the medical care they need and deserve to keep them happy and healthy.
