NORTH BERWICK — Ada May (Jellerson) Newhall. In the morning of Aug. 18, 2018, Ada heard the gentle call of her savior.  She took his hand and quietly left us all.

She was born on March 16, 1926 in Sanford; daughter of Wilbur and Ada (Gowen) Jellerson and a graduate of Sanford High School.

Ada May worked in the Sanford Mills before working in the Art, Craft Store in Sanford and The Seacoast Gallery in Wells, owned by she and her husband, Fred Hines.  She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in North Berwick. She enjoyed Bible study and church gatherings with her friends.  She also enjoyed camping, bowling, birds, reading, and her plants.  She loved her desserts.  Ada May loved spending time with her family and friends, and let’s not forget her kitty, Lilly.

She was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin Newhall, Jr. and two brothers, Vincent and John Jellerson.  Surviving are three sons, Michael Letourneau and wife Carol of Alton, New Hampshire, John Hines and wife Joanne of Modesto, California, and David Hines and wife, Julie of Conneaut, Ohio; a daughter, Janice Gilpatrick and husband Stephen of Sanford, Maine; 11 grandchildren, several great- and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

An hour of visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 26 from 2 to 3 p.m. immediately followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 31 Main St., North Berwick, Maine.  Interment will be Monday in Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford, Maine.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 729, North Berwick, ME or Seacoast Christian School, 26 Paul St., South Berwick, ME 03908.
