DAMARISCOTTA — Pianist and organist Sean Fleming and Yarmouth harpist Rhiannon Skye will present a benefit concert for the Damariscotta United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Damariscotta Baptist Church.
Rhiannon Skye will open the concert with Celtic, jazz and classical harp selections. Special guest David Smith will then sing the Kern song “Look for the Silver Lining.” Sean Fleming will close the first half of the concert with “The New England Ragtime Suite” by local composer Aaron Robinson.
The second half of the concert will feature Sean Fleming on organ, playing “A Meditation on Brother James’ Air” by English composer Harold Darke, Mendelssohn’s Organ Sonata No. 3, and “Concert Variations on The Star Spangled Banner” by the Maine-born composer John Knowles Paine. The $10 suggested donation will support programs at the Damariscotta Methodist Church.
