SANFORD — Daniel L. Welch, Sr., 59, of Sanford, died at his home on Aug. 9, 2018. He had battled recent health issues and was surrounded in love by his family when he passed.
Daniel was born on Aug. 16, 1958 in New Haven, Connecticut the son of Harold A. and Velda B. (MacCorison) Welch.
Daniel was a very hard worker who always worked to support his family. He worked with Robert W. Libby & Sons logging company in Waterboro and also did security work. Daniel had most recently worked for Portland Press Herald as a paper carrier. Daniel was a volunteer fireman with the Waterboro Fire Dept. for 10 years.
Daniel is survived by the love of his life, Lorrie Welch, his children, Theresa Welch, Daniel L. Welch, Jr., Colby R. Williams, Tracy LaFleur and Stacy Welch; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Daniel is also survived by seven siblings: Lou Ann Peare of NC, Douglas Welch of Biddeford, Frank Welch of LA, Kathleen Welch of Lyman, Keith Welch of TN, Robert Welch of Springvale and Claude Welch of Manchester, NH
The family will celebrate Daniel’s life privately.
