The Topsham Recreation Department has announced its fall programs.

Fall Cross Country — The program will kick off on Sept. 10th at 5:15 p.m., (location to be determined). Practices will be every Monday and Thursday from 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. Meets will be on Wednesdays, beginning Sept. 19. Participants must provide their own transportation to Mid Coastal Communities.

This program is available to children 7-12-year olds. Younger children, ages 6-7, will require adult supervision on the course.

The cost to register is $35 for Topsham residents and includes a team T-shirt. The fee for school district non- Topsham residents is $45 (must register in the Parks and Recreation Office).

A schedule of meets and directions will be available during the first week of practice.

Little Kickers Soccer — Come join varsity soccer coach Jack Rioux and Mt. Ararat High School players for this six-week introduction to soccer. The program will be filled with games, skills and fun. The program starts Sept. 5.

The fee is $50 and is available to SAD-75 residents only. This includes a size 3 soccer ball and a T-shirt. Only children ages 3 through pre-kindergarten are eligible to participate.

Sessions are being offered at 5 p.m. or 5:45 p.m. There is a limit of 15 players per session.

Fall Field Hockey — Join Mt. Ararat High School varsity field hockey coach Krista Chase and her entourage of volunteers (players and adults) as they develop elementary youth skills and playing.

Practices will be held at the Mt. Ararat Middle School field hockey field on Friday nights at 5:15 p.m., starting Sept. 7, and will run through the end of October. Equipment packages are available through the Parks and Recreation Office. All field hockey programs are available to SAD-75 residents only.

Three different age/grade sessions will be offered: Pre- K and K — Baby Eagles — the fee is $35; Grades 1-2 — Chix with Stixs — the fee is $45; and grades 3-6 — Fall Travel Field Hockey — the fee is $50.

Topsham Youth Soccer — There are still some openings available in certain age groups (call the Parks and Recreation Office for more information).

Practices begin the week of Aug. 19, and games are played on Saturday mornings beginning Sept. 8. The fee is $60 for Topsham residents, $65 for non-Topsham residents.

Online — The Parks and Recreation Department has announced that online registration services are now available for most fall programs. Go to www.topshamparksrec.com for more information and to create your online account.
