Dolores “Mataunt” (Berthiaume) Philbrook, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, born on May 19, 1945 in Biddeford, Me., to the late Laurencia Berthiaume and the late Adelard Berthiaume, passed away peacefully at age 73 on August 4, 2018 in Maine Medical Center, Portland, Me.

Dolores went back to school for her GED, graduated Class of 1992 from Biddeford High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, loved all the kids

Dolores was the beloved wife of the late David Philbrook. She was preceded in death by: her brother, Leo Berthiaume;and sister, Jeanne Couture.

Dolores is survived by: her brother, Oliver Berthiaume and wife, Donna ( Lyman); nieces; Suzanne Couture and fiance, Mark (Buxton), and Laura Blake and husband Art (Lyman); and nephews, Wayne Berthiaume and wife, Dina (Biddeford), Jerry Couture and wife, Brenda (Waterboro), Richard Couture and wife, Sherry (Waterboro), Bruce Berthiaume and wife, Maria (Chicago Illinois), and Daryl Berthiaume (Fort Walton Beach, Florida).

Dolores had a passion for cooking, knitting, word search books, pencil art, playing cards, loved country music, taking Sunday drives in the country and was an avid Avon collector of jewelry. She was a member of Saint Margaret’s Church, Old Orchard Beach, and she was a supporter of Disabled American Veterans. The family will be having a private graveside gathering to honor her wishes.
