
BIDDEFORD — Boy Scout Troop 308 sponsored by the Good Shepherd Parish has recently returned from Summer Camp at Camp Hinds in Raymond.
Scouts attending were Gavin Bastarache, Yuriy Reiter, Noah Rousseau, Zachary Lau, Zachary Lau, Dakota Senecal and Kegan Richardson.
They earned a variety of Merit Badges including: Swimming, Environmental Science, Emergency Preparedness, Small-boat Sailing, Shotgun Shooting, Citizenship in the World, in the Nation and in the Community, Composite Materials, Chess, Kayaking, Personal Management, Archery, Camping, Mammal Studies, and Radio.
The scouts also earned special awards which including BSA Standup Paddle boarding, the Mile Swim, and Snorkeling BSA.
Some of the scouts needing to rappel off a cliff to complete their Climbing Merit Badge also got to do so while at camp.
Troop 308 officials said that the scouts had a great time.
Scout leaders attending camp this year included Committee Chair Travis Meserve; Assistant Scoutmasters Sandy Richardson and Rick Rousseau, and Scoutmaster, Dan Bastarache.
