David H. Meagher, 48, passed away on May 22, 2018, at his home in Augusta. David was born in Brunswick on August 19, 1969, to Thomas “Tim” Meagher and Wanita (Pierce) Meagher.
He attended Brunswick schools until his senior year, when he attended Cony High School. He completed his education at Maine Job Corps in Bangor in 1988.
David was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed playing youth hockey and excelled as a center and tackle on both the Brunswick High School and Cony High School football teams.
David is survived by his sister, Karen (Meagher) Pottle of Topsham; brother, Timothy Meagher of Wormer, Netherlands; his ex-wife, Shawna Cummings Merrow of Sidney; stepmother, Claudia Meagher of Woodland Hills, CA; stepsisters, Phoebe Stevens and Melissa Cust of Woodland Hills and Appleton, WIS, two dear aunts; an uncle; 4 cousins; and his niece and nephew, Krista and Adam. He was predeceased by his parents, Tim and Wanita; and his uncle, Peter Meagher.
A small service will take place at Cross Hill Cemetery in Vassalboro on Friday, July 27 at 2 p.m.
