WEST KENNEBUNK — The Animal Welfare Society has announced that through Sunday, July 29, adoption fees for cats are reduced.
Senior cats (age 8 and over) will have their fees waived and adult cats (ages 1 to 7) are only $35. Kitten pairs are only $385.
Here are three cats available at AWS:
Candy: She is a lover of hidey-holes and blankets of all kind. Candy just loves to snuggle in and under blankets and mind her own business. She lived with one person in her previous home and hid quietly until she wanted attention and food. Then when she came out of her comfy spot, she was very willing to lovingly accept pats and spend time with her person. Candy’s ideal home is a quiet home with someone who is very understanding and patient.

Milkshake: Milkshake is an adorable little lady who loves, loves, loves her catnip. She has done well living with other male cats in the past and enjoys getting attention from visitors.

Cookie: Aptly named, Cookie is a sweet cat. She’s ready to be your favorite cookie, or should we say America’s favorite cookie. She can be rather timid and shy initially, but with some quality petting she comes out of her shell. She’ll make a lovely companion in her new home.
AWS is open daily for adoptions and visits (closed Wednesdays) between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with extended hours until 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
