SACO —Kenneth Paradis, 69, passed away peacefully at his home, while surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, July 14, 2018 after a courageous 10-year battle with Parkinson’s disease.
He was born in Biddeford, Maine on Dec. 23, 1948, son to the late Willard and Stella (Martin) Paradis.
Ken grew up in Saco, Maine and was educated through the Saco School system.
Ken was a hard-working man, dedicated to his employer, General Dynamics, for over 30 years. He loved following Thornton Academy football games and had a passion for fishing and bowling. Time spent with his family was always at the top of his list and his most treasured. He will be deeply missed by many.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Charlotte (Granger) Paradis; his sons, Kenneth Paradis and Bill Paradis and wife, Melissa all of Saco; his grandchildren, Ashley, Dakota and Kaitlynn; his brother, Ray Paradis and wife Charlene; and his two sisters, Nancy Baldwin Dion and husband, Bob and Sharon Ripley and husband, Mike. Ken was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Doreen Martel.
Per Ken’s wishes, there will not be any services at this time.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
