BRUNSWICK
T his smiling guy is
Harvey! Harvey made his trip to Coastal Humane Society in our Transport and Rescue Program, coming to Maine all the way from Blairsville, Georgia. He was one of 107 dogs rescued from two foreclosed properties in Polk County, Georgia, in a well-publicized cruelty case involving dog fighting.
Harvey, now around 2 years old, was most likely born on the property. He’s just over 30 pounds of pure sweetness! He adores people, but understandably, can be skeptical of other dogs, and shouldn’t live with cats. With time and patience and a little socializing, Harvey will be a wonderful family member! Please call (207) 725- 5051 to learn more about Harvey, or visit him at 30 Range Road during open hours.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
