YARMOUTH — The 29th annual Betty Blakeman Memorial Tennis Tournament will be held this weekend, beginning Friday, at Yarmouth High School and satellite sites.
Sanctioned as a double major by the Maine Tennis Association, the Blakeman Memorial is a fundraiser for the Cancer Community Center and its fight against breast cancer.
The Blakeman is the largest tournament in Maine and is run in conjunction with the Yarmouth Clam Festival. It offers competition in men’s open singles and doubles, women’s open singles and doubles, open mixed doubles, men’s 55- and-over singles and doubles, and women’s 35-plus singles and doubles.
