BINGHAMTON, N.Y.
Levi Michael, Tomas Nido, Jhoan Urena and Champ Stuart drove in three runs each, as the Binghamton Rumble Ponies beat the Portland Sea Dogs, 16-2, on Monday.
Michael homered and doubled, driving in three runs. Nido homered, tripled and singled, scoring three runs while also driving in three.
Binghamton had a pair of big innings in the blowout victory, scoring four runs in the second inning and six in the sixth.
In the second, Joey Terdoslavich hit a solo home run, while the team hit three home runs in the sixth.
Binghamton right-hander Justin Dunn ( 4- 2) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing two runs on eight hits over six innings. Opposing starter Kyle Hart (6-6) took the loss in the Eastern League game after a rough outing in which he allowed eight runs and nine hits over four innings.
