A New York City man was arrested during a traffic stop Friday night after crack cocaine was found in his vehicle, Maine State Police said Sunday.
State police reported on Instagram that Stephone Spencer, 39, of the Bronx, New York, was arrested after his vehicle was stopped in the northbound lane on the Maine Turnpike in Ogunquit at 10:45 p.m. by members of the Maine State Police ProActive Criminal Enforcement Team.
Ibo, a police dog, alerted the officers to the presence of narcotics, and 110 grams of crack cocaine was located in the vehicle during a search, state police said.
Spencer was charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs. He was transported to the York County Jail in Alfred, where he is being held on $50,000 bail.
