Esther Holloway Sprague, 83, of Brunswick/Bangor, Maine, passed away on June 8, 2018, from natural causes.

Graveside services will be held on July 19, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Ocean View Cemetery in Boothbay, Maine.

Esther was born in North Adams, Mass., on December 22 1934. She attended St. Joseph’s High School and North Adams College.

She worked for a number of years at Harvard University. She later worked and retired from Wright-Pierce Engineering in Topsham, Maine.

Esther was predeceased in death by her parents, John Joseph and Mary Holloway, and by her husband of 54 years, Peter A. Sprague. She is survived by a brother Joe Holloway and his wife Winnie of Saratoga Springs, NY, a son Stephen J. Sprague and his wife Aimi Baldwin of Bangor, ME and two grandchildren Hannah and Nathan Sprague of Brunswick and her brotherin law, Stephen S. Sprague and his wife Lisa Atkins of West Bath, and several nieces and nephews.
