SACO — It is with great sadness that the family of Timothy Kerry, 53, announce his passing on Saturday July 7, 2018 at his home in Saco.
He was born on July 24, 1964 in Portland, Maine the son of Richard R. Kerry Sr. and Marjorie (Saucier) Kerry.
Tim grew up in Saco and was educated in the Saco school system. Early on, Tim developed a passion for playing football. Tim, like his twin brother Tom, was selected by his teammates as a tri-captain of the Thornton Academy football team. Tim later would be selected to the Maine All State Football Team for his position as a middle linebacker. Tim graduated from Thornton Academy, Class of 1983, and went on to further his education at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Canada.
Tim was employed by Pratt & Whitney for several years and later by Saco Defense. He was a true New England sports fan loving the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics. Tim was extremely proud of his Irish heritage. During college football season he could always be found watching Notre Dame games and cheering for an Irish win. Tim had a very special bond with his twin brother Tom. They enjoyed golfing together at Deep Brook golf course where they could often be heard bantering back and forth in their own unique way.
Tim was predeceased by his mother, Marjorie (Saucier) Kerry; and his brothers, Richard ‘Ricky’ Kerry Jr and Thomas (Tom) Kerry. He is survived by his father, Richard Kerry Sr. and his step mother, Hanna; his sisters, Theresa Pratt and her husband Daniel of Old Orchard Beach, Lee-Marie Brown and her husband Shawn of Saco; step siblings, Jennifer Pasteur of Denver, Colo., David Welch of Boca Raton, Fla., Maggie Hall of Biddeford and several nieces and nephews (Brandon, Sean, Abby, Ben, Isabella, Mac, Eleanor & Johanna), aunts, uncles and cousins.
