For most of us when we refuse to do our jobs we would be fired, however for the Maine’s Republican House caucus, refusing to do their job seems to be the status quo.

The refusal to pass the Errors Bill, a routine piece of legislature that would fix a drafting mistake in the Clean Elections law is another attempt by the House GOP to undermine our legislative process. The Clean Elections law makes sure candidates in Maine can run with funds from the state, not from out of state interests. Backing our clean elections candidates into a corner in the middle of an election is a despicable move that we as Mainers should not tolerate. If this law isn’t passed all clean elections candidates will no longer receive funding, however they also won’t be able to raise additional funds or spend their own money to keep their campaigns going.

I strongly urge my fellow Mainers to remember that these elected officials refused to do their jobs, and when we step into the voting booth in November, lets make sure we vote for people willing to actually do the work.
