NORTH SACO- “Betty” Gladys Elizabeth Deering, age 82, passed away at her home on July 8, 2018, with her family at her side.
She was born in Biddeford on June 29, 1936, daughter of the late Clifford and Dorothy Berry.
Betty is a Thornton Academy graduate and went on to work for many years as a CNA at Pine Point Manor in Scarborough while raising her family.
She enjoyed shopping, being with her family and many friends, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Saco Grange and could be seen often at the Tory Hill Cafe having a meal with her friends.
She is predeceased by her husband Myron “Mike” Deering in 2014.
Betty is survived by her children- John Deering and his wife Vicky of Saco, David Deering and his wife Michele of Saco, and Dale Deering of Saco; and her grandchildren- Sarah, Mike, Tatianna, McKenzie, and Maegan.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday July 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the North Saco Congregational Church, 133 Heath Road, Saco. A reception will be held in the church hall.
Arrangements are with Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service, Buxton.
