ANFORD — American Legion Post 19 and the VFW are hosting Veterans Appreciation Day during the Mainers baseball game on Saturday, June 30 at Goodall Park in Sanford.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and prior to the game there will be veterans from World War II to Afghanistan on the field for a special ceremony. Those veterans will receive signed baseball from the Mainers.
James Bachelder serve as master of ceremonies for the event.
All veterans will be admitted to the Mainers game for Veterans Appreciation Day at no charge.
