YORK COUNTY – Summer is here, and what better way to enjoy the warm weather than an outdoor concert. Several community groups are sponsoring free concert series, so grab a lawn chair or blanket, gather your family, and enjoy the show.

In Biddeford, the Music in the Park Concert series runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays at 208 Main St. through Aug. 8. Food will be available for purchase at a hot dog truck. The concerts include: Luniere on June 27, Sibylline on July 4, Snughouse on July 11, Banjo Read and Crispy Pick’ns on July 18,  Shana Underwood and Wanderlust on July 25, Rodney Mashia on Aug. 1 and Thea Hopkins on Aug. 8.

The Kennebunk summer concert series, sponsored by Kennebunk Savings Bank, runs from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays through Aug. 8. The Windmills perform on June 27, The O Harrows on July 4, The Kennebunk River Band on July 11, The Delta Knights on July 18, Ken and Mo on July 25, The Chris Humphrey Big Band on Aug. 1 and Finestkind on Aug. 8.  A make-up date is scheduled for Aug. 15.

The Old Orchard Beach Recreation Department is hosting Concerts in the Parks from 6:30 to 8 p.m. July 5 through Aug. 23.  The first five concerts will be held at Veterans Memorial Park on First Street: Second Time Around on July 5, Down East Soul on July 12, Annie Clark on July 19, Motor Booty on July 26 and The Awesome on Aug. 2. The last three concerts will be held at The Ballpark, at Ballpark Way: Something Stupid on Aug. 9, Don Campbell on Aug. 16 and The Fossil Band on Aug. 23. Rain out date is scheduled for Aug. 30.

In Sanford, the Springvale Public Library and Sanford Springvale Chamber of Commerce are hosting, with the help of local sponsors, a concert series at the patio on Springvale Public Library, 443 Main St. at noon on Fridays from July 13 to Sept. 28. Joe Sailor will perform July 13 and Sept. 7. John Rachkoski will perform July 20, Aug. 17 and Sept. 14. Lucas Roy will perform July 27, Aug. 3 and 10 and Sept. 7. Dan Wolfe will perform Sept. 21 and a special guest will perform on Sept. 28.

In Saco, local community organization Saco Main Street is hosting Music in the Park(ing) Lot on Thursday evenings from July 12 to Aug. 16 at the Dyer Library parking lot, 371 Main St.

In Wells, a summer concert series runs on Saturdays through Sept. 1, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Hope Hobbs Gazebo, Wells Harbor Park, 331 Harbor Road. Stafford Wind Symphony will perform on June 30, Party Starters on July 7, Eddie Forman Orchestra on July 14, The Bel Airs on July 21, The Windmills on July 28, Spectrum on Aug. 4, On Tap on Aug. 11, Jumbo Circus Peanuts on Aug. 18, The Reminisants Band on Aug. 25 and The New Legacy Swing Band on Sept. 1.
