SHAPLEIGH — The York County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in identifying a woman suspected of removing returnable bottles from a collection bin at Shapleigh Memorial School on Route 11.
York County Sheriff William King said surveillance video captured the woman’s image multiple times — at 5:30 p.m. June 2; at 12:53 and 5:18 p.m. on June 9; at 8:41, 9:59 and 5:47 p,m. on June 16 and at 11:24 p.m. on June 17.
King said Deputy Jason Solomon is handling the investigation and so all leads should be forwarded to him at 324-1113.
People donate returnable cans and bottles to the Shapleigh initiative that are redeemed for cash to use for special events.
The collection bins were a target of theft several years ago.
The photo is a still shot from security video footage and shows a small white car at the scene.
