BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College women’s lacrosse players Hannah Hirschfeld and Eliza Denious have been named All-Americans in selections announced by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association on Wednesday.
It is the first All-American honor for both the senior Hirschfeld, who earned Second Team recognition, and first-year Denious, who netted Third Team honors.
The duo helped pace a potent Bowdoin offense this spring, with Hirschfeld scoring a team-best 64 points, including 43 goals, and totaling a team-high 21 assists and 35 ground balls.
Denious burst onto the scene with a solid rookie campaign, ranking third on the team with 41 goals, but also ranking among the team’s best in draw controls (47), ground balls (22) and caused turnovers (20).
