
YORK COUNTY — With three of four communities reporting, it appears Democratic voters are poised to select Kelcy McNamara of Alfred over Clifford Krolick of Parsonsfield to be their candidate for House District 21 in November.
District 21 includes Alfred, Newfield and parts of Limerick, Parsonsfield and Shapleigh.
Unofficial returns show Krolick with 195 votes and McNamara with 411, with all but Newfield reporting. Krolick took his hometown of Parsonsfield, but McNamara prevailed in the others.
The winner will challenge Republican incumbent Heidi Sampson of Alfred in the November contest.
McNamara provides yoga as an aid to those with post traumatic stress disorder. She ran on a platform of access to affordable health care and eduction.
