BIDDEFORD – Raymond A. Breton, 74, of Biddeford, Maine, formerly of Suncook, New Hampshire, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his residence in Maine following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on Nov. 18, 1943 in Barre, Vermont, he was the son of the late Maurice and Antoinette (Goulet) Breton.

Upon completion of high school, Ray joined the Army National Guard. He was employed for 13 years at Swenson Granite and seven years at Epping Trading Center. He was later employed as a servicer in the tool room for General Electric where he spent 21 years until his retirement.

Ray enjoyed spending time with his family, taking long rides in his new car, going to the theater with Rita and building “one of a kind” bird houses.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Flo Mailhot, Isabel Crevier Labbe, Rita Rouleau and Lorenzo Breton.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, and love of his life Rita (Menard) Breton of Biddeford, Maine; son, Ryan Breton and his wife Andrea
of Milford, New Hampshire; daughter, Lee Ann Dutremble and her husband Richard of Biddeford, Maine; brother Joseph Breton and his wife Pauline of Winter Haven, Florida; five grandchildren, Joshua, Aaron and Renee Dutremble and Nora and Marina Breton as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 14 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Petit-Roan Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke, New Hampshire. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 15 at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Allenstown. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Allenstown.
