A section of Gorham Road in Scarborough has re-opened after firefighters shut the roadway while they dealt with a ruptured gas line near Hannaford Drive, the Scarborough Fire Department said.

In a tweet, the fire department said the leak closed Gorham Road, also known as Route 114, between Sawyer Road and Hannaford Drive, but a short time later by 1:15 p.m., the roadway was reportedly back open, according to police.

The gas pipe ruptured at The Rock Church, the fire department said.
