A 35-year-old man from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was stabbed and wounded Thursday morning near the intersection of Oxford and Alder streets in Portland’s Bayside neighborhood.
The man, who was not identified, fled to South Portland where he was found by police. He was taken to Maine Medical Center and treated for wounds that were not considered life threatening.
Police said the stabbing was reported about 8:10 a.m.
Although police said they believe they know who else was involved in the stabbing, investigators are asking anyone who witnessed it to call police at 874-8575.
